Solomon had a great day today. He gained 20 grams and is getting 9 mL of milk every 3 hours. He didn't have any problems today. We spent most of our time together today skin-to-skin. The results form the cardiologist from yesterday showed that Solomon has a PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosis). This is a valve in the heart that usually closes before birth but because he was born so early his is still open. Usually PDA's will close on their own and are not treated, just monitored.
